Mike, you are missed. Fair winds and following seas on your journey. All my deepest sympathy goes to his family.
If life is truly a journey measured by one step at a time, then I have but one request. Allow me to walk my path in life in only my bare feet so that I may fully experience both the good and the bad. The soft comfortable feel between my toes of a rain soaked soil, as well as the sharp pain of the many obstacles along the way. For I must experience the pain before I may fully appreciate the warmth and comfort as I travel my life's path to where ever it may take me. I am but a simple soul, of simple needs, grant me this one liberty so that I may continue to know my limits and appreciate my life's gifts, and I will ask no more but to be able to share my lifes experiences with others along the way...
I didn’t know you well, but I would have willingly lent you my shoes in order to cushion the pain of your path had I known you needed them…
